Good point. The planet will be fine. Life will persist. Whether or not humans are part of the mix is the question. And if we do, how may will die before we adjust?

Granted, I understand that you are willing to sacrifice a large percentage of the population of humans to keep you from facing reality.

No human could survive those levels of CO2. In fact, most of the plants couldn't either. Some will, but it would be a long time before this planet could support complex life.

Forgive me if I consider that somewhat selfish.
