We have certain understandings. I am careful and considerate, and she is circumspect and considerate. It seems to work OK. For lots of things. We have a pretty good marriage.

I have told you and told you, but you won't listen: asthmatics benefit from tobacco smoke. I've read about this, but I also have a friend who was asthmatic in his teens and early twenties. He tells me that he carried a pack of ciggies at all times. Didn't like to smoke (and never became habituated) but when he had an attack he lit up, inhaled a few times, and it went away.

And the "second-hand smoke" terror is largely nonsense. Try automobile pollution. Make you a hell of a lot sicker.
