what exactly is the urban myth about derivatives? That they can explode. The urban myths that is -g- Basically his points were Explode myth (1). They are wild gambles. In fact useful to transfer risk. Explode myth (2). They are complicated. At first glance yes but a product that crosses many boundaries. Explode myth(3). Lots of crooks involved. Some evidence, but we now have Emir and Frank Dodd. I remain a bit unconvinced. Whats to stop a kook tossing a risk thats about to explode on some unsuspecting party and then says... markets are unfair ? That can happen on a global scale. The regulations are a bad joke as far as I can see. btw He made another video saying markets are unfair so regulations are not useful. Unfairness exists.
