In a perfect trade that might work. But if one buys 25% of a position and it drops 25% and then buys another 25% and it drops another 25% and then the stock drops another 25% and one buys 25% and it declines more.....................I might be puking.

I'd rather give up some downside.........The trend changes when the Downtrend line is broken imo....at that point I would start to scale in. And yes you are correct I would probably have given up the bottom20%.
