This is a cyclical bull market within the framework of a primary secular bear. It's a very large trading range with a little more upside to go. I'd be surprised if SPX decisively breaks 1600. Once SPX hits 1550, I'd expect to see a few months of choppy sideways distribution and marginal new highs before the Primary Bear reasserts itself.

Near, but not quite at the consummation of the cyclical bull.
