Wow. They made some predictions that were off. Your source conveniently ignores another place where their models were off, sea level is rising about twice as fast as predicted. A rational conclusion is that they aren't accounting for ocean currents properly. Because it is pretty obvious the poles are heating up faster than anticipated. This is born out by measurements.
