Hi GZ,

I'm not so sure any of it matters much.

Japan has a debt to GDP that is much higher than ours is.What are they doing exploding the balance sheet of the BOJ.

The japanese are such good savers most of their debt is internally bought.

Why to get their Yen lower vs other currencies so they can export cars.

So we have more expenditures than income we also police the world with out imposing a surcharge for all of the weapons we use up.

The dollar is still so strong that many jobs have been exported.

Bernanke builds up a big balance sheet at the fed and gives bank money and buys up mbs and holds till maturity - meanwhile as most keep making a payment and the balance declines.

If it was all so bad why does not the Dollar decline and mke us more competitive.

I thin it is because we are the greatest military in the world.
I think it is because we are the biggest market in the world.
I think it is because we have the world's reserve currency and no one is as transparent and free and law abiding as we are - so we get away with it.

If it was all that bad our dollar would collapse much more than it has and our corporations would come back to the USA and produce.

The truth is we have the greatest collection of international corporations and the most solid banks and we make the world's commerce go around.

As long as we have the most free markets best corporations, best innovation the world just wants to do business with us and if they have to devalue their currency more then anyone else to get in here our currency remains bouyant.

All along the way of our lives politicians will BS about deficits and health care and freebees and as they change control they both seem to do it too much.

Its all noise after the many years I've listened.

BWDIK

Bob
