Wow, you think someone intent on suicide would give up if he didn't have a gun. Surely you're aware there are other methods. .....look at the harakiri heroes in Japan .....they got it down to a science..........suicide web sites.......how to produce hydrogen sulfide gas...............best hangman's noose knot ...............they kill themselves at about 2.5 times the rate in the US............very efficiently even without guns.
