What socialism? Its nearly non existent in this country. Its why we lead the first world in poverty. - tejek

LOL. We spend more in aggregate on socialist programs than any other country in the world. It's the law of large numbers.

I am talking per capita. Sure we spend more money than Israel does on its security net but that hardly makes the US more socialistic.

Programs like Social Security

Social Security is no more an example of socialism than having a bank acct. You pay in when you are working and then you take it back when you retire.

and Obama's health care are socialism, pure and simple. Add to that welfare and food stamps and there is no other country in the world that spends as much each year as we do on socialism.

Sorry, dude, we are in the minor leagues when it comes to socialism. Did you know that German college students 15 years ago got roughly $1000 per month while they went to school? Did you know that in Germany people get unemployment until they find another job? And Germany is hardly the most socialistic nation in the world.

You have a limited view of reality.
