I have no way of knowing what the NRA thinks unless I were to read it's doctrines, which I have no plans to do, why would I? If you think there is something sinister going on, you'll have to be specific about what you think that is. Then I will give you my thoughts on it. I have some idea of their agenda, which is to support the second amendment. I have no problem with that. I don't think they run the country but just as any other national organization they probably want those who do run the country to represent their interests. As far as "gun nuts" you will have to define what you mean by a "gun nut." If it is anyone who supports the second amendment, or any one who would be a member of NRA, then I'd say you are the nut. WRT people disobeying laws they disagree with, you'll have to be more specific. If I recall you have supported illegal aliens remaining in the country without punishment, so ...

They are not running the country - but they do represent the majority of the country on one issue.
