RE Mike: If the trade today was from my primary system S6, without a doubt I would have bought Buy 2.
But because this trade was generated from an older less reliable system, then I would not.

What I have learned in the last 15 years doing this, is that you have to take a stand and assign one system
(the best system = highest Win/Loss ratio) as your Primary Trade System and do whatever is says, with only the few exceptions I mentioned on my last post (44978) that are built into the system.

With all the other systems ( S1 thru S5 ), they are just fill-ins for when the Primary System (S6) doesn't
have anything going (like today). But because I know these other systems don't have the reliability
that I fully trust, I will just pull in and out of them with no regard to mechanical rules.
The idea behind the other systems is to maybe make a quick buck when my Primary System isn't trading and to be overly protective about losing money with these other systems,
because it would make no sense to make money on my Primary Systems and then lose those hard earned dollars with the less reliable systems. (Believe me, I have been there and done that!)

Finally, the NT is giving a sell signal at this moment... who knows if it will remain intact into the close... but, if this market closes lower today, then I would suspect the NT sell signal will be confirmed... I'm staying short the SP and long the bonds...

So far, this market hasn't broken... so, I just closed out my short for a reasonable profit and sold out my long bonds also for a modest gain... now flat and will just sit it out for a few days to see what develops, I think we could easily see one more pop higher, this rally still has until the 6th, so I'm not going to press my luck here... I might just go long lightly, will let you know...

The ceiling for today, Friday, is 1515.20... this market is getting squeezed into a corner... of course, this market could do anything with the FED QE and the model is still long, there is no sell signal trigger yet or since, just that this market is getting trapped at the ceiling with the flood waters rising rapidly... for me, it's going to be very interesting to see how this market plays out between now and the 6th... will it blow through the roof and keep going or will it trip over itself and sell off for February... we'll see, as they say, stay tuned...<g>

I just reinstated a light SP short this morning at 1499.20 with a close stop for this morning... if we do blow higher on positive numbers this morning, then I'll look to short at 1515.20 if we get there...
