When it comes to moolah, there is nothing new under the sun. If a scheme failed in the past, it will fail now and in the future, and it doesn't matter whether the scheme is called QE or involves the printing of assignats or whatever.

There are too many perfumed princes of academic finance whose main talent lies in describing ancient failures in new language designed to bamboozle the bamboozable.
