Could you explain their proprietaty advantage and how it is defendable? I only have time to quickly glance at their white papers and their advantage is not readily apparent..

Caching has been around forever and they even acknowledge that in their first white paper. I am old enough to still remember caching way back from the PDP-11 days.

The one comparison paper I read only comparies their solution to a hard drive based solution, it did not talk about a comparison against other solid state drive systems which is what customer really want to know.

My own experience with solid state drives is that you do get an improve in performance from caching on a solid state drive, but the actual performance is not always close the theoretical performance.
