I think you continue to miss the point.
The Treasury Department owes the Fed over $3 trillion that must be paid back! This is fact.
Yes but they are paid back with inflated dollars. That is KEY.
The taxpayer will be on the hook unless all that money the Fed gave away to save our economy is returned.
You may be right unless the fed rolls over the debt when it comes due. I don't believe there is a law saying what the Fed can have on its balance sheet. I'm sure many who bash the Fed in the Senate and House are pretty clueless overall.... just listen to some of them ask questions sometime.
We live in an age where sound fiscal practices of the past have no room at the table of greed and malfeasance.
I never said what the Fed is doing is a good idea. I don't claim to be that smart to know in advance if what they are trying to accomplish will work... or if we have what happened in Japan... deflation.

I AM smart enough to have it well hedged (covered in my newsletter) and have profited greatly by paying attention to this greed in politicians the past 30 years... I almost bought Gold 20 years ago when I figured it out for sure but instead bought something that went up MUCH MORE THAN GOLD compared to what I put down, I got to live in it AND I got the enjoyment of living on the property.... that is now well above its all time highs and I believe worth about 15 times what I put down... all subsidized by the government with mortgage deductions.
Isn't leverage WONDERFUL when used correctly? :)

BTW, Thank-you very much for allowing us to deduct mortgages for homes I would not have afforded otherwise. :) It is another government intervention in natural market forces.... that I profited greatly from.
