Stricter laws might, might not work, are their any guarantees, no.
Can we ban future sales of AR's, why not? Are they really needed
for self defense?

Handguns are what's used in Chicago for the most part, you just
don't see gang bangers walking around w/AR's not that they don't
have em.

IMO, AR's aren't needed out there, am I proposing banning people
from arming themselves NO, just AR's, give it a shot...no pun intended.
