The NRA uses its power to promote the NRA -- not the interests of its members. The NRA needs the epidemic of violence to continue to spiral our of control to serve its own self-interest. Anything that would reduce gun violence goes against the NRA agenda. Until the membership of the NRA wakes up and sees what is actually being promoted in their name, the NRA is free to block all attempts at reducing gun violence. The NRA is the most manipulative and powerful special interest lobby in Washington -- a perfect example of how government has been corrupted by self-serving bureaucrats in Washington. The NRA is the Washington disease on steroids. Any criticism of the NRA is spun as a criticism of its members and Constitutional freedoms -- it is time to wise up.
