The institutional investors are smart (hopefully), they know AOL barely met the expectation out of them last Q and it may be be too long before a disappointment.
They will not wait for an earnings disappointment to get out, IMO they will start unloading after they have fattened it enough at the cost of mutual funds and individuals who hold it.
Waiting for disappointment is usually too late and disasterous in the case of a bubble like AOL because their downside is so large.
