Um, it was a rhetorical point. I phrased it the way I did on purpose.

My point was that Presidents and other politicians are human. Humans cheat.

It's a big deal on a personal level and it was terribly irresponsible. If I had John Edwards in my personal life, I'd say "that guy's a scumbag."

But when we both look up and down at Presidents in our history and list the ones we like and the ones we don't based on their policies and the jobs they did in office, I don't think we'll find correlations between the ones who committed adultery with the ones we don't like...

I care much more about what happens to this country and its people during a presidency than I do about where presidents put their penises.
