You are missing my point. The very act of learning prepares the kids. Learning how ot learn adn being exposed to all that knowledge. <<I agree with that. However, what we need to strive for is to achieve that intellectual growth, with preparation for the young person to stand on their own economically when they graduate with a Bachelor's. Today, we are failing in that task and encouraging many people to get degrees that will not help them stand on their own. Education is also about growing up and taking responsibility for oneself.
