Well, thanks for thinking of me.
Imagine us discovering a habitable planet which hosts an intelligent life form or species within some point in our future.
Would we, over time, examine that species, attempt communication, further or perhaps even inhibit their evolutionary progress depending on our interests, apply either physiological or cerebral change, or even affect their DNA genome properties again depending on our interests?

What if we could, by way of their consciousness, allow for a built in key to control them at will in an entirely undetectable manner?
That may seem harsh but they are the lesser species and we do have an agenda which may require physical requirements on their part. If so, no argument would arise.

I believe we would follow that script just as extraterrestrials have done here.
We have a checkered history.
