>Guess we need more regulations then, huh?

No. I'm not even sure we need that one. But it really isn't affecting anyone's life negatively.

It isn't affecting anyone's life negatively.

I was in a bar in Tribeca a couple years ago and walked outside and there stood the bartender. I said, "WTF are you doing out here?" He said, "I can't even smoke in my own god damned bar anymore."

As a young liberal I actually thought it would be a good idea to outlaw cigarettes in some places. What I didn't get -- and what liberals today don't get -- is while people may be "helped" by regulating every aspect of their lives it is a place that free people don't need to go because it is a slippery slope and there is no coming back.

Today, looking back on my own dumb thinking, I just can't understand it. If a man wants to smoke in his own bar he damned well ought to be free to do it. If people don't like it they can vote with their feet.

It is funny that liberals think there should be absolute freedom to get abortions on demand, but outlawing giant sized drinks is just fine. Just weird thinking.
