Many participants said they did not get a chance to give prepared testimony because public participation was limited to small breakout sessions put together by Loran Marketing Group. CPS said Loran is being paid through a grant from the Walton Family Foundation. According to its website, the foundation is the largest private supporter of charter school startups in the country.
