Giffords & husband are gun owners themselves .... “Too many children are dying. Too many children. We must do something,” Giffords said in a rare public appearance Wednesday, reading a statement that acknowledged her injuries made it difficult to speak. “It will be hard, but the time is now,” she told the packed hearing held by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Both her and her husband Mark Kelly own handguns. If they really believe guns are a problem, they should turn them in to the police to be melted down. And we should all be concerned when people start talking about “Doing Something”, because it usually means a loss of freedom through Government regulation, especially done because of emotion. If we really want to Do Something, it should revolve around going after criminals and punishing them harshly. But, instead, The Government and people like Giffords and Kelly want to infringe on the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of law abiding citizens, punishing them before they’ve committed a crime .......... thepiratescove.us
