The end of our interglacial really is a serious climate threat that will wipe out the populations of a number of existing countries and perhaps cause mass starvation.

Sure. If you look at the temperature graphs, we were on a long term cooling path. I made that statement here a couple of years ago.

But that changed since we started to pour CO2 into the atmosphere like mad. Since we know we can have a global effect, it is unlikely we will allow an ice age to get started. Hence my pushing glaciation into the far future.
