I sound very interested, and tell them I'm glad they called me.. after they go through a lengthy pitch, I ask them to repeat what they just said so I could be sure I fully understand... then I repeat back with some changes... they then correct me and this goes on for a while...I ask a few more questions about the process... when the guy at the other end sounds like he's getting tired of wasting time, I tell the guy it's okay let's do it, BUT suddenly I quickly interrupt myself and tell the guy there's someone at the door, if he could just hang on for a moment while I answer it... if the guy doesn't hang up on his own, I wait about a full minute and then tell him it was just some kids at the door selling cookies... when we're about ready to begin the process again, I tell him someone is again at the door and if he could wait just another minute... this time I wait two full minutes before I come back to the phone... at some point, the guy must realize he spent 30 minutes with me a got nowhere... I then tell the guy it's getting late, I ran out of time, and that I have to get ready to go to work now, if he could speak with my brother I would really appreciate it... then I begin all over again... if he says I sound like the same guy, I just tell him everyone says we sound alike.. I ask him to tell me why he called and to start from the beginning... if he says he just spent 30 minutes with my brother and can't believe he has to start all over again... I ask him if he could hold on for a moment that there's someone at the door... anyhow, this goes on until the guy either jumps out his 10 story office window or just hangs up in complete desperation and disgust... LOL!!!
