Had the scientific community not been kissing the CIA's ass for the last 60 years it would have been done. The guy running the program is Icelandic, I don't know if that's good or bad but it really doesn't matter. This is a nonlinear phenomena. If he passes on it some other ego driven academic gets the add on his resume and the thrill of being on television. Giddy up.
