You keep averting the issue.
I've tried to help you see, how your issue is not real. Continuing to promote the, we must defeat right wing, mission is the reason for dysfunction and destruction within America... well at least half the problem. I demonstrated for you how the focus on fire arms is like many other political battle ground topics. It is resulting in more destruction of American society while almost completely avoiding a real problem, which is criminal attacks on decent citizens. You and I both know your concern is focused on conservatives and their guns... criminals are practically an incidental.

Of course the right and left each have their own issues. That is a given.

No it is not a given, except in the win it all or lose it all mentality (defeat the left wing or right wing). What is a given is that America will always have societal issues that are deserving of our attention. We are not resolving societal issues we are prolonging them as conditions worsen. Like always, the best solutions to problems result in looking at a problem from different perspectives, then sharing of ideas, and finally working through the solution together. Attempting to eliminate opposition altogether is like trying to cut the other end off an iron magnet to get one pole, it shortens the magnet but does little else to change things. Attempting that same approach over and over again ... then back and forth is what we currently have.
However, the reason why the American gov't has become so dysfunctional much to the amazement of the rest of the world is because the right refuses to compromise.

I am certain the right feels exactly the same way about you. Have you considered that you may both be correct? Have you considered a different approach?
