great article. thanks for the post. three points.

1. psix serves as a wholesaler to consumer ISP's so it still balances it's load.
2. i love the closer connection between the isp's, telcos and telcom eqpt. cos. i also own shiva, another dog that will soon have its day, and it's corporate focus is on vpn networks as mentioned.
3. the Williams deal sounds something like PSIX's fiber deal. maybe they weren't so dumb after all.

Just as Concentric balances the peak hours between business use during the day and consumers at night, Psinet balances peak usage by taking a global approach across time zones. Therefore, we can assume there is a logical plan in place for Psinet to maximize their potential 24 hours a day. Hopefully, ATT or another telco will fall in love with them.
