He never said he invented the Internet. Look it up on snopes, they have a pretty good article o it.

How many people were talking about a nationwide computer network that ordinary people could access in the 1970s? Heck, those were the early days of microcomputers when getting any access to computing resources at all was not easy. And when you did it was very expensive.
