Let me see. If I had to define it, maybe I'd go with the following, in terms of income levels relative to the rest of society:
* Lower Class = bottom 30% (because they really live paycheck to paycheck and life is a daily struggle to make ends meet, but that is offset by very generous welfare, food stamps, social security, child credits, Obama phones, etc etc...the welfare they earn is often more than they would earn if they sought a job to provide for themselves)
* Middle Class = middle 31% to 99%
* Upper Class = commonly referred to as rich...top 1% (already wealthy and also feed at the public trough through preferential treatment by Congress who all are part of the 1% as well; incidentally, they are also immune from criminal prosecution for crimes that the other classes would pay dearly for committing)

The Middle Class is getting their ass handed to them by Obama and Congress nowadays. This group is seeing their purchasing power and income shrink at an alarming rate.
