FYI,

I've gone back and read all messages in this strand starting with #7734. In that message you said/implied (your choice) that Borland's merger with Visigenic would cause Visigenic customers to go elsewhere.

In my post #7735, I asked if this is what you meant, and if Oracle and Netscape knew, in your opinion, all about the merger, so that they could plan this big 'put down' against Borland shortly after the merger was announced. (IMHO, these moves by Oracle and Netscape were in the works way before the Borland merger neared completion.)

In your post #7735, you provided some interesting, although somewhat esoteric information about an 'object application server' market that I know little about. I found the post hard to understand and certainly not germane to my simple question. Consequently, I responded in post #7748 that I consider you response #7735 to be doubletalk. There may be some sort of underlying information of interest in your post (I'm still not sure), but it certainly did not respond to my query.
