It isn't an "outlier".

Hey, should the mother of the Newtown shooter have been able to leave her guns to her son the shooter as inheritance?

But now, for the real problem...a large % of all gun sales are transacted without a background check. During the time the Brady act was in effect (94-2008) 1.8 million gun transfer applications were denied. A ton of them were allowed...but how many of the 1.8M that were denied would have resulted in loss of life? We'll never know...but why should potential criminals or people that are not allowed under current law to own a gun be allowed to buy one privately...it's ridiculous...why was the NRA for this before it was against it? C'mon...nothing to do with moralizing and everything to do with common sense.
