Did you see where a plurality of Americans say that there are less likely to vote for a candidate who is backed by the NRA? Given how closely tied the NRA is to the Republicans, this cannot be good news. Is america finally coming to its senses? Oh man...I pray... Al

Yeah, I know. It is just that when the Republicans discredit themselves, assuming they haven't already, it leaves this country dangerously unbalanced. There will be no check on the Democrats. Yes. I know. Its not good. I never expected that the GOP was this unbalanced and messed up. I now understand why party leaders in the past have imposed a strict discipline on their members. The GOP has a similar problem to the problem facing Egypt.......once Mubarak and his iron rule were gone, chaos erupted. We're seeing a milder version of this scenario getting played out with Rs. Given how closely tied the NRA is to the Republicans, this cannot be good news. Yes. And that's because LaPierre is seriously unbalanced. People are shocked at his rants. I am hoping this toxic stuff that permeates our culture will be winnowed out in this process we seem to be experiencing and that a stronger, saner GOP will emerge. But things are so unstable right now that I worry someone is going to do something stupid that causes things to get much worse.
