It was definetly good news and i think SSYS is just getting pulled down with the rest of the techs.
I think this is an excellent buying opportunity.
I've been following this stock since II recommended it (though not on that reason alone). I think the rapid prototyping market is only going to be getting bigger and bigger as the product development process gets shorter and shorter, and now this medical application which seems on first glance to also have a lot of potential.
I'd love to here from anyone out there on their opinions as to whether SSYS has got there production problems behind them and where they stand relative to the other players in the market.

Looking to be a SSYS inductee...
Peter

Helios- Yes it was good news. They have leveraged their base technology to expanded their addressable market in an important new area. The weakness yesterday may be related to year end tax loss selling since the stock is down for the year, and the general sell off in the technology sector. While the company has had dissapointing results for the year, recent news has been more favorable and the market for rapid prototype devices is expected to grow in the 35-40% range.
