Why live life as if you do? Why buy insurance - you're not planning on dieing, burning down your house or getting in a car accident - why live life as if you do? It's not clear to me whether that person has the right training and attitude necessary to wield one responsibly. If you're in the room when they have need to "wield one" - you'll be right behind them. :-)

I understand your position. I wonder if there are "gun free" school zones that are not gun free, that certain people are armed? 700 Newton CT children in a gun free zone, no defenses other than a locked glass door, with police reaction 20 minutes away is disgusting and completely unacceptable. It should be the center or at least the beginning of the discussion, but yet Central Planning has decided disarming their political opposition is more important.
