rayrohn - That is the whole purpose of technical analysis.
Technical Analysis is the forecasting of future financial price movements based on an examination of past price movements. Like weather forecasting, technical analysis does not result in absolute predictions about the future. Instead, technical analysis can help investors anticipate what is "likely" to happen to prices over time. Technical analysis uses a wide variety of charts that show price over time.
Taken from StockCharts Chart School.
IMO the very best system of technical analysis is EWP combined with certain indicators, support resistance lines and patterns. Of course, it is all assisted greatly by negating powerful bias. This is extremely important important because as human beings we tend to see what we want to see. There are a lot of interesting articles about this phenomena if you google Confirmation Bias. I think it is imperative for all traders to read a few. It is a killer.
