The reason Quantum didn't fly last quarter was because it was fully valued at the time based on the expectation that earnings would be good. Also the market was reacting poorly to good news from most tech stocks. Remeber that prices were still high and had little place to go. I thought at the time that there was about a 20% chance the stock would move up regardless of how great the news was. The 80% chance for moving down was for a move to "historical norms" - I thought to around 35. I expected that it would base a while and then move up agin to new highs in early '98.

We now are at a price and psychology of the market that leads me to believe that we will settle out for 2-4 weeks before a 30%-50% move up. Maybe more if things shape up well. With growth in sales and reasoanble profits, Quantum will justify new highs price next by quarter- it didn't when earnings came out for last quarter.
