Hi Elroy, I don't want to appear rude as I do not know you or know why you are posting on this board when you don't seem to have an interest in Apple or AAPL. Rather you follow SIMO.

As SIMO does not pay a dividend and does not seem to be doing very well why do you like it? Granted it is not going up so the greater fool theory cannot be applied here but I am at a loss to know why you are investing in a stock with no dividend, declining earnings and a falling stock price.

There seem to be quite a few fools making gobs of money in AMZN, GOOG PCLN, CMG and others including BRK A and B. It's not likely that any of them will ever pay a dividend and it is likely that some of them may come down to earth but in the meantime their shares are going up and people are making money. I don't think that the shareholders would consider the companies worthless.

Annie

I didn't read too many complaints about lack of dividends when the new products were coming out and the price was passing 200, ------500, 600, etc., etc.

If Apple is to spend the money it has it should spend more of it in buy-backs then dividends.

Management duty is to manage the company the best it to make profit. The Board of Directors is the one who has the fiduciary duty to care for shareholders interest, and by extension sharehodlers invest in the company to get good return for the money, whether for the dividend and/or stock appreciation. Maybe Einhorn should demand a seat on Apple BoD?
