As far as I can remember George Z. has been involved with bingo for most of the past 30 years. I am not sure as to what capacity, but I have the feeling that he has seen just about everything when it comes to bingo. This also explains why he is so excited about the Auto 2000 Bingo Caller and the new games that will come with it. There hasn't been much talk about the Auto 2000 yet---we should be hearing much more in the near future.

From what I know,...

the Chinese are avid gamblers. I know they don't bet on horses. I think they bet on Mah Jong cause there aren't any casinos/lotteries.

Does anyone have a reason why a communistic system would allow lotteries, etc.(being rich is a capitalist ideal)and as such everything is government owned and being "rich" is not possible...The Government would take everything the players would win...and since they own everything anyway what would be the point??? Entertainment??? Just taking what they already own from one pocket and putting it in the other??? And giving Foreigners a piece of the action would be completely foreign to their communistic doctrines...
They don't mind us paying them but them paying us is a no, no!!

The reason for most lotteries/legalized gambling is that a gov't wants to pay for something without levying new "ugh" taxes...there are no taxes under a communist gov't and everything is paid for/owned by the gov't, highways, buildings, medical/dental treatment, public welfare, police, military, the people, etc...what incentive/motivation would the Chinese have for allowing gambling???

I welcome all opinions on this...as they have over 1.2 billion potential players.
