You're not really far left, unless you believe that private property is a crime.

Obama has proven to be far worse than Bush for civil liberties. Not only he dd not reverse Bush's wrong policies, he extended immensely. Where Bush appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner in case of whatever he perceived as imminent threat, Obama has done away with the "imminent" part of that.

Where Bush allowed DHS to seize your laptop and electronics and *compel* you to provide the password without a warrant, Obama has extended the definition of border to a 100mi radius inside the US. As a result, nearly 2/3rd of the Americans now live in Constitution-free zone. aclu.org

Nor have the similarities been limited to extending government power by scaring people of AQ. He gave Wall St. and big business more money than Bush dreamed of.

BTW, the ACLU's map of constitution-free zones understates the problem (if such a thing is even possible). Every international airport is considered a border point. So draw a 100 mile radius around every major city and then the map is accurate.

If Bush had done such a thing, everyone here would up in arms. Somehow Obama gets a free pass.
