Very cool.

I was twisting in my chair while watching it.

JXN's team needs a logo change. Here's an alternative to what they have

The video doesn't really capture the full thrill of the victory. The noise was deafening and it seemed the entire gym was chanting his name. When the ref raised his hand, the kids went nuts, jumping up and down and running back and forth yelling "we won!!"

As a side note, one of the kids on the other team came up to JXN and said, "Good luck, but you're not going to win." Guess that made him mad because when his other gramma told him his opponent was crying, JXN said, "Good."

I wonder if JXN noticed that he had the largest cheering section -- grammas, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins - took him a long time to pass out sugar to everyone.

Congrats to you and JXM on his win! That really brings back memories....one of our sons loved wrestling too, and eventually became 9th grade King Co Champ (we didn't have Middle School in those years).... This Mom held her breath the entire 2 minutes....every time.....

congrats

you said this is a league which means i assume its made up of local clubs or middle schools?
--does he go to junior tournaments?

i don;t know what its like out west but on the east coast md/pa/va there are junior leagues which is like rec wrestling and than kids that are really serious have so called 'travel " type teams where they practice pretty much 5 days a week and go to tournaments every weekend--and wrestling tournaments are an all day/weekend thing--weigh ins at 8 and you could be there until 6--as you probably know wrestling tournaments seldom start on time
junior wrestling was really unbeleivable as far as committment--when my son went to high school it was like i was on vacation compared to junior wrestling--enjoy it--its amazing how fast it's over

Just saw the video of his match.....

In these times, it is wonderful that someone can share a memory that will live in their life forever.

I assume that you seen this "good" movie with wrestling as a subplot.
