he's right that it's morally wrong, just like all class warfare is morally wrong. but he's incorrect about it being more efficient that wage-labor. in addition to the points longnshort made, there is medical care, and hiring watch dogs to make sure they don't run away and to make sure they continue to work. would anyone be willing to work hard for absolutely NO benefit? no, so they only worked when they were being watched and the watch dogs also had to be paid. someone added it all up and concluded that slave labor was only 10% as efficient as wage-labor. that means you get a lot more productivity from someone who is hired. strangely, most socialists don't want to believe this.
