I agree. For each of the many 2012 Republican primary debates, it seemed the stage was filled with unelectable candidates who cast the party in an unfavorable light.

"this person MUST be electable...."

One thing that Karl Rove said is something we MUST keep in our minds while seeking our candidate....and that is "this person MUST be electable...."

If we forget that part, and choose someone like Christine O'Donnell, we will be on the outside looking in.

How would you define that candidate? A RINO? Colin Powell? Huntsman? Romney? Bob Dole? McCain?

I'm not going to list the democrat candidates who shouldn't have had a chance in hell of getting elected or reelected but did. They've purged their party of conservatives have they not?

I'll take Christine O'Donnell over any of the RINOs on the latest "gang of whatevers" drinking with the democrats. Maybe if the republican beltway machine would have supported O'Donnell instead of what Rove did, things would have been different.

Rove is a bigger problem than a girl from Delaware he campaigned against.

I think, and sincerely hope, that we as Conservatives with some of the good Republican values, will be able to find, and appreciate, a candidate who holds those same values, as well as deal with the stresses of the Presidency.

I wonder if we haven't reached the tipping point on ever having a candidate that is both electable and fits your criteria. Is it possible that Obama by increasing all methods of dependency, along with open borders and amnesty, has pushed us beyond the point of no return?

IOW: Have we lost our Republic?
