I doubt that JXN will go the MMA route. But at a certain point, I won't be able to stop him. I was an aggressive skier and I have the injuries to prove it. I also did a bit of mountain bike racing, and I have the injuries to go with that too. And where I carry those injuries with me every day, my life would have been much less full without skiing and cycling. I believe we are moving to a society that is increasingly bubble wrapped. The problem with bubble wrapping everyone is that we are going to find that you can suffocate on bubble wrap as well. This latest move to destroy football is just another indicator of the feminization and pussification of our society and culture. Tyler Durden: Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing. Like the first monkey shot into space. Tyler Durden: We're a generation of men raised by women. I'm wondering if another woman is really the answer we need. Boxing, Football, MMA, Rugby, they all fill a need in our lives. Very few of us are hunters or warriors anymore. As men, this is part of our DNA. We've got contact sports and dangerous activities to give us the adrenaline rushes that we crave. But we are taking all risk out of our sports and activities. I think we need to ask ourselves if the removal of physical risks from our lives might actually have an unintended consequence of damaging our mental and emotional selves. Just think, before too long, pro-football will have to start handing out participation trophies
