Harsh? (Sigh), Maybe it is just all 'round easier if I just remove these option posts. I could ignore these posts and then we watch as people come in and ask or tell us about specific option trades they are making. And since we have some people with not much money to invest (so options might appeal), or people who view options as just one more tool, or people who like to post their success, or people who just want more information about the option trades on the same stock or on different stocks, we can watch the thread spiral into something different from what it was. (As you know this was not an options-type adjunct thread when Mike Burry ran it.) =========== "The fact that he is selling the put means that presumably he perceives enough value in the stock to own it should it be put to him." I have no problem with something so stated and being said by the poster. (Although, as Clownbuck has remarked, it's not the same as waiting for a price drop to buy the stock.) You will please look closely at the adjectives/nouns I am always using: "specfic" "specifics". Do not bring specifics of the particular option or options you guys are using to this thread -- stuff like "LMT Feb 85 puts, and sold the March 82.5 LMT puts." Do not pull this thread into considering or discussing specifics of your options plays. Take it private or take it elsewhere! Message 28676906
