Your stance is to ignore the available evidence and just blame Democrats. And then just make up stuff to support your side. Carter was responsible for one, maybe two recessions. He was paying the price of a couple of decades of irresponsible behavior. But things weren't as black and white as you are trying to pretend. The root of it was the decision to not raise taxes, but to print our way to pay for Vietnam. That can even work for a short time. But not long term. Basically, it was similar to the borrow and spend philosophy that Reagan adopted.
