I truly believe pro football coaches have learned that to get to their level they have to somehow stand out. To stand out means to do the opposite of what everyone else says you should do-- and succeed. I've written several times about how teams with a top rushing offense go against teams with one of the poorest run stopping defenses, and throw. Same for GMs who all likely have everyone-told-me-I-would-fail stories, but did it their way and succeeded. Going against the flow is something they relish just so they can say they proved everyone wrong. In this case, yes, I'm sure glad it's the Eagles!
