I have a large position in BFZ and MCA which I purchased during the Meredith Whitney debacle. (Thank you, Meredith!) I think the recent decline is due to migration of funds into the stock market. Since the fed is targeting 6.5% unemployment I think the fed. funds rate will be very favorable to these closed end munis. The other variable I am watching is the discount/premium to NAV. Until I see these funds significantly overvalued to NAV, or the unemployment rate drops precipitously, I plan on holding these securities in my portfolio.
