Hi i-node; Yeah, if a Democrat had invaded Iraq the Left would be all about it.

At the time I was quite p.o.ed about the Iraq invasion but felt better about Afghanistan. I tend to suspect that our later problems in Afghanistan were due to too much diversion of effort due to Iraq. But it's also possible that the big problem was just not getting out fast enough.

In a way, Obama's use of drones is what I supported around the time of the WTC attack. My complaint about Iraq was that we were throwing away a situation where we bombed them without them being able to hurt us, with one where they bombed our military forces without us being able to retaliate easily.
