My grandmother was a flapper. She partied hardy in the 1920's, living life large.

My grandfather made good money in the 1930's day trading. He was able to make enough in the market to offset the cost of keeping all of the employees of his company on payroll and never laying any off.

To keep them busy he had to make up work. Some days the men all went to his farm and worked there all day.

I know a few people who were alive in 1929. None of them were adults during the party.
